The Casino Barrière de Blotzheim extends its adventure for another 18 years
It is now official: the municipality of Blotzheim has renewed the Public Service Delegation (DSP) granted to the Casino Barrière for a period of 18 years. This decision confirms the strength of the partnership between the city and the gaming establishment, highlighting its key role in local economic and cultural development. Thanks to its significant contributions in terms of employment and regional dynamism, the casino remains an essential pillar of the Blotzheim landscape.
An essential economic engine for the city
The Casino Barrière de Blotzheim is establishing itself as a major player in the local economy, as evidenced by its Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of €88.8 million for the 2023-2024 financial year. Much more than just a place of entertainment, the establishment offers a wide range of activities: a full games room, a varied catering offer and a program of events throughout the year. By attracting a loyal clientele and creating employment opportunities, the casino helps to strengthen the attractiveness of the town and support its economic development.
A transformation to come for an enriched experience
With this renewal, the Barrière group does not intend to rest on its laurels. A vast investment plan is being prepared to modernize the infrastructure and improve the visitor experience. Among the planned developments, the expansion of the catering areas, the redesign of the bars and the optimization of the points of sale are at the top of the list. The gaming area will also benefit from an extension, integrating new state-of-the-art equipment in order to expand the gaming offer.
The group’s ambition is also to strengthen the entertainment program, by allocating a larger budget to the organization of cultural and festive events. This initiative aims to make the casino an even more dynamic place to live, capable of attracting both regulars and new visitors.

Since its opening in 2008, the casino has become one of the most important in the country, currently occupying second place in the national ranking. With an attendance of around 400,000 visitors per year, its entertainment offering includes 332 slot machines, 13 gaming tables and 91 electronic gaming stations.
